Here was my inspiration...
I made it my own a bit, and I'm happy with the way they came out!
*I'm going to put the glow sticks in when they are already on my student's desks and they don't have to be moved anymore! I don't' want to crack any of them!*
*I'm going to put the glow sticks in when they are already on my student's desks and they don't have to be moved anymore! I don't' want to crack any of them!*
Here's what I did:
1. I decided what card stock I wanted to use and used my scrapbook cutter and cut it into strips. I put the paper the long way and cut 2 inch strips.
3. I folded 2 inches from the bottom up.
4. I used my Mono adhesive for the sides. It seems to be holding up well so far, but I might end up stapling them like in the pinspiration for durability.
5. I created a star to glue on them. I didn't make it grade specific. Feel free to download the file here. The font is from Lovin' Lit and the clip art is from Creative Clips.
6. I used the Mono adhesive to glue the star on, but anything will do!
7. I tied some ribbon around the top to add a little something. It was just ribbon I had around my house!
Any questions, just ask! :)
Slowly but surely, I'm getting my brain back in school mode. In honor of my first Monday Made It, I'd love to give away any two units from my TpT store. Enter below!!
Cute bookmarks! I love making my classroom a fun colorful place, but I don't like to make it too overstimulating! I am going to make tissue paper puff balls to hang from the ceiling in my library with my Very Hungry Caterpillar!
ReplyDeleteHope I win!

Thanks, Sarah! :) I love colorful, too! I LOVE your idea of the Very Hungry Caterpillar with puff balls! That will be adorable! :)
DeleteI am going to leave my room almost the same as last year, but add some more cute posters I have found on TpT.
ReplyDeleteI love TpT! So many great resources! :)
DeleteWhat a cute idea! May have to steal this!

It was so easy, and I think the kids will love it! WHo doesn't love some glow sticks!? :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI am painting all kinds of stuff with chalkboard paint!
ReplyDeleteNice!! I need to try it! I need to find some things to paint, I think chalkboard paint is so neat! I've even seen it in different colors! :)
DeleteDid this last year! Kids loved it, and parents appreciated that it wasn't candy. ;)
ReplyDeleteOops..shoulda read the question first. I'll have a star filled room this year. I'm also using primary colors and black to pop. Decorating is expensive and time consuming, so I'm streamlining so that other themes can be added as accents. This year our school is "taking flight" so airplanes, hot air balloons, you name it, can all be added.
DeleteThat post is much inspiring.
