Monday Made It! {Giveaway!}

I'm here with a Monday Made It!! WOO HOO!  I love going through all the projects that everyone posts!  This is simple, but a great little student gift for the beginning of the year.

Here was my inspiration...

Here is my creation...

I made it my own a bit, and I'm happy with the way they came out!
*I'm going to put the glow sticks in when they are already on my student's desks and they don't have to be moved anymore!  I don't' want to crack any of them!*

Here's what I did:
1.  I decided what card stock I wanted to use and used my scrapbook cutter and cut it into strips.  I put the paper the long way and cut 2 inch strips.

3.  I folded 2 inches from the bottom up.

4. I used my Mono adhesive for the sides.  It seems to be holding up well so far, but I might end up stapling them like in the pinspiration for durability.

5.  I created a star to glue on them.  I didn't make it grade specific.  Feel free to download the file here.  The font is from Lovin' Lit and the clip art is from Creative Clips.

6.  I used the Mono adhesive to glue the star on, but anything will do!

7.  I tied some ribbon around the top to add a little something.  It was just ribbon I had around my house!

Any questions, just ask! :)

Slowly but surely, I'm getting my brain back in school mode.  In honor of my first Monday Made It, I'd love to give away any two units from my TpT store.  Enter below!!

Doubles are Sweet Flash Freebie and a Freebie! Everyone Wins!

Are you following my blog with Bloglovin?  I missed this whole boat last summer when I was laying on my couch with horrible morning sickness! (Why do they call it morning sickness when it lasts all day, anyway!?)

Next year, I want to do math rotations on a regular basis.  I will have a much smaller class next year, so I think it'll be just the time to dive right in.  I dabbled with it this year, but we could never find our groove.  I'll keep playing around with stations as the year winds down, but next year we will hit the ground running.  Since I have that goal, I've been working on a lot of math pack.  These are skills my students need through Common Core and to simply increase their Number Sense and fact automaticity.

Here's a look at my Doubles are Sweet! {Doubles, Doubles +1, and Doubles +2 Task Cards, Games, and Printables} pack.  Click on the preview below to see the mini unit.

This packet includes
-24 task cards colored
-24 task cards black and white
-Recording sheets-
Game board-
-BAM
-Slap it! Game
-9 Printables with answer keys
The activities and games would be perfect for your math centers or rotations!

*A big thanks to my new buddy, Amanda, who did some proofreading for me!*

It's time for another flash freebie!  Grab it for free for the next hour or so...but please leave me some feedback and let me know how you like it!  Feedback makes me smile!

I also posted a freebie.  It is a Doubles, Doubles + 1 I Have, Who Has game.  My kids love this game, and I hope yours will too!!  Click the preview below to download.

Happy Tuesday!

I'm Back!!!

Hello everyone!  I don't even know if anyone is still there!  I haven't blogged in a long long time, but I'm excited to be back!  I have a good reason for being gone...I had a baby!!  I had a sweet baby girl!!  I was miserably sick throughout most of my pregnancy.  For the first trimester I couldn't even look at a computer screen I was so nauseous.  Now that's behind me and I've been enjoying spending time with this little angel.

I have some new products that I've been working on...
The first one is...

Adding 3 Numbers

This mini unit includes task cards, activities, and printables and will be available for only $2!  Before I put it in my Teachers pay Teachers shop, I'd love to have a few people proofread it.  Proofers will get the finished product for free!   Leave a comment with your email address and I'll send the first two people the file!

Next Year...

Since today is my first official day of summer break, I thought it would be a great day to link up with  Kim from Joy in 6th for her next year linky party!
Here we go...

I've blogged about my adventures with math rotations at the end of the year.  I am going to start the year full force but also incorporate more of a guided math style.  After some positive feedback, I purchased two guided math books that I hope are going to help!

I feel like I should give myself some credit and say stronger writing teacher.  I think I made great strides in my writing instruction this year.  I have to give a big thanks to Susan Moran and her awesome writing packets.  This is an area I'm going to work on strengthening over the summer.  I also want to make sure I am aligning to the CCSS.

Please tell me I'm not alone here.  No matter how hard I try, I always have a huge stack of papers on the corner of my desk.  Some of it is to throw out and some of it is to refile.  I get so frustrated with myself, I just need to come up with a better system.  I have a lot of binders going on so hopefully that will help me!

What a great linky!  I love it!  What are you definitely going to do next year?  Go link up with

Summer Bucket List!!

I'm linking up with Teri, Hadar, and April for their Summer Bucket List linky party!

Since today was my last official day of school I thought it would be a great day to link up with the Summer Bucket List linky party!

1.  Do some reading for fun! I still have this gem to read!
I also want to read...

For school, I'm going to read...

2.  Work on some things for the classroom.
These ideas all came from pinterest.
Spruce up my clip chart and create a reward bin and binder like Cupcake for the Teacher!
I'm a huge clip chart fan and this is an excellent way to go beyond it!

Create retelling ropes
I couldn't find an original link!

Work on incorporating technology and one iPad into my instruction.

Fun ways to celebrate success like these student shout- outs!

3.  Get my craft on!
I'm not sure what exactly I'll be making. My mother-in-law wants me to make a scrapbook for her.

4.  Just relax and spend time with family and friends!
