Summer Bucket List!!

I'm linking up with Teri, Hadar, and April for their Summer Bucket List linky party!

Since today was my last official day of school I thought it would be a great day to link up with the Summer Bucket List linky party!

1.  Do some reading for fun! I still have this gem to read!
I also want to read...

For school, I'm going to read...

2.  Work on some things for the classroom.
These ideas all came from pinterest.
Spruce up my clip chart and create a reward bin and binder like Cupcake for the Teacher!
I'm a huge clip chart fan and this is an excellent way to go beyond it!

Create retelling ropes
I couldn't find an original link!

Work on incorporating technology and one iPad into my instruction.

Fun ways to celebrate success like these student shout- outs!

3.  Get my craft on!
I'm not sure what exactly I'll be making. My mother-in-law wants me to make a scrapbook for her.

4.  Just relax and spend time with family and friends!

  1. I hope you had a fun last day! I love the student shout out buckets!

A Sunny Day in First Grade

    1. Thanks, Sarah! Our last day is only an hour so we had popsicles, did the dollar store awards you've probably scene and played some games! :)

  2. Guided Math is a great book with lots of information! Keep a pen handy while reading! I will have to check out your "for fun" reads! I'm looking for some books to read myself. Have a great summer!

An Apple a Day in First Grade

    1. Thanks, I'm really excited for it to come in the mail!! Happy summer! :)

  3. I am loving the student shout outs bucket and am going to make it one of my summer to-dos as well! I'm also loving being your newest follower!

    Happily Teaching

    1. Hi Elyse! Thanks for stopping by! I'm so excited for the shout out buckets! :)

  4. Hmmm... A retelling rope... I hadn't heard or seen that before but it sounds like a great idea! I have quiet a few books on my summer reading list as well.

    Lovely Literacy & More

    1. Doesn't it sound great? I pinned it a while back but there wasn't a link when I was just trying to find it. I'm going to be googling when the time comes!! :) Happy Summer!!

  5. Hi Katie,
I read the Guided math (left side picture) last summer. If you have the one on the right, maybe we can let each other's book (and save some money).
Math is so my favorite topic!

    My Second Sense

    1. Hi Tania!
I am so sorry I'm just getting back to you now. I've basically taken the summer off from my computer and my blog. I just really needed a break. Unfortunately, I already have both books- but that would have been a great idea!!! Maybe in the future we can do some sort of swap!!! :-) I hope you are enjoying your summer!!
