Guided Math/Rotations QUESTION!!

Hello, friends!  I have some questions. As I've mentioned before, I've been slowing trying out math rotations and a guided math feel at the end of the year.  I hope to start it up this way right in the beginning of the year.

I was looking at some books...Do you recommend any of these?  Are they a waste of my time and money?  Are there other books out there that I should check out?

I already have...

I was debating purchasing these...

Thoughts?
Are there any other books I should check out?

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!! :-)

  1. I bought Guided Math several summers ago. It's a great book with lots of resources. The author is really big on guided groups and differentation. I think that it's a good investment. Now personally, I don't do math groups or centers. I incorporate centers into my weekly lessons, but my kids don't do them daily. My students have access to those types of activities in the morning during morning work time also. I just haven't been able to work it right and honestly, I just didn't know if I wanted to take on the extra work load.:)

  2. I have both of the books you mentioned. Last summer I participated in the Guided Math book study hosted by Brenda from Primary Inspired. Here's the link so you can check it out:

  3. I've read the Guided Math book and really enjoyed it. Lots of great ideas for something I really want to do but can't seem to pull the trigger. Although I have incorporated some of the easier routines which I really like. I would definitely recommend the Guided Math book.

  4. We follow the Guided Math program for math centers and instruction. LOVE IT!! I presented a workshop to my fellow teachers using it & even the upper grade teachers were big fans. I would definitely recommend!! I blogged about our use of it in first grade...I think it was in September. :)

  5. I read the Guided math book (your second picture) last summer. I have the book. If you have the third book (which I'd love to read) perhaps we can exchange books, read and return afterwards... if you are interested.
